Your installation is on schedule and you need to know how to mount the sensor, and how to survey it properly
If youʻve already deployed your sensor and completed the RTK survey go to
next steps: Device Registration
Complete this Day of Installation checklist to ensure you gather all the data for registration
- [ ] Know where your sensors “zero range” point is
- [ ] Gather an estimated GPS for longitude and latitude
- [ ] Record which sensor is being deployed
- [ ] Install the mounting hardware and sensor
- [ ] Timestamp the installation to report the beginning of data collection
- [ ] Take 4 photo types for submission to Hohonu
- [ ] For SECOORA standards refer to the documentation below
- [ ] Verify your RTK instrument is accurate with a known landmark nearby
- [ ] Survey the sensor using a preferred methodology
- [ ] Survey land elevation if this is an “Over Land” sensor
- [ ] Survey potential warning and cautionary thresholds
- [ ] Record your method for surveying each of your elevations in NAVD88
